2 volumes of 2. 8vo (203 x 122). pp, xiv, (2), 295, (1); (4), 279, (1). Engraved frontspiece to volume 1. Age toned paper with edges uncut. Endpapers replaced. Green and gilt cloth with blind stamped decorated boards. Gilt titles rubbed and edges and corners bumped and worn. Both volumes with old reback. Paul Chatfield was a pseudonym of Horace Smith (1779-1849), humorist, poet, novelist and writer.
