A little foxing. Red and gilt cloth with some marks in clear protective wraps. Violet Milner, Lady Edward Cecil (1872-1958) was the editor of the political monthly 'National Review' and also established the Victorian League in 1901. Her first husband , Lord Edward Cecil, was the son of the British Prime Minister Lord Salisbury. He served in the army in the Second Boer War, Sudan and Egypt when he was aide de camp to Lord Kitchener in 1896.
