Frontspiece with tissue guard and second title page with vignette of the Blumlis Alp together with 62 full page plates as called for and numerous b & w engravings in the text. Some spotting to half title and title page and some isolated browning to edges of pages and plates. All edges gilt. Binding a bit weak. Blue cloth decorated in black and gilt with bevelled edges to boards. Tips of spine, joints, edges and corners rubbed and worn. A good copy. A large, heavy book which may be subject to additional postage.
