Some occasional browning to margins and minor worming at foot of first pages of vol.1 not affecting text. All edges red. Contemporary full calf with 5 raised bands and gilt decoration to compartments. Corners worn. A good set. A diplomat of Dutch birth Abraham Wicquefort (1606-1682) wrote this first major work on all aspects of diplomatic practice based on his own memoirs and experiences. First published in 1681-82, it was reissued in 1690 and then enlarged for the third edition in 1715. A large set which may be subject to additional postage.
