(210 x 160). pp, (8), 439, (1). Frontspiece and nine plates all original albumen photographic prints. Pages ruled in red. Contents clean but some foxing on endpapers and crease to half title page. Rear marbled end paper missing. Front hinge cracked. All edges gilt. Full black morocco with bevelled boards showing some scuffs and marks. Compartments and raised bands to spine with gilt title partly rubbed away. Edward Henry Bickersteth (1825-1906) poet and bishop was Vicar of Christ Church, Hampstead when he wrote Yesterday, To-Day and For Ever, a position he held for 30 years. In 1885 he was appointed Dean of Gloucester and later in the same year Bishop of Exeter. Gernsheim 564.
